About Us

The Study Centre Hohe Warte (SHW) is an internationally oriented educational institution based in Vienna, which looks back on more than four decades of tradition in academically sound adult education. Emerging from the Management Seminar Institute of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, SHW has been combining scientific rigour with a consistent practical orientation since the 1980s, making it one of the pioneers of modern management and continuing education concepts in the German-speaking world.

Today, SHW stands for excellent master's and doctoral programmes, high quality standards and a clear international focus. As a Woolf college, SHW has been part of a global academic network since 2024 and also collaborates with renowned partner universities such as the University of Huddersfield, SMC Signum Magnum College and DTI University. This combination of historical roots, international networking and consistent quality orientation shapes the institutional self-image and positions SHW as one of the leading addresses for academic continuing education in Europe.
